The Artery Nugget GT 200W Pod Mod Kit is the world’s first true high powered hybrid device. It can output an incredible 200 watts of raw power and is compatible with a variety of unique accessories. This includes a 510 adapter that allows you to sub-ohm vape with your own tank. An RBA section is also available for DIY fun. So is it the ultimate vaping device or does Artery under-deliver? Keep reading to find out.
Artery is a medium-sized vape manufacturer that was founded in 2015. All of their products are bought to life by a team of expert researchers, designers, and also engineers. Their back catalog consists of primarily pen and pod-based systems. Artery delivers a good mix of innovative and familiar vaping devices. This includes the most recent PAL SE Pod and PAL 18650 Starter Kit.
The Artery Nugget GT 200W Pod Mod Kit is slightly larger and thicker than your average hybrid device. But in contrast, relatively slimline when compared to a standard dual battery box mod. It measures 102mm’s by 40mm’s by 31mm’s and carries a nice bit of weight to it. As a result, it’s probably not the best device to carry around in your pocket. The ergonomic shape is a pleasure to hold.
The Artery Nugget GT chassis is made from strong Zinc-Alloy. It takes dual 18650 batteries to power and is run in series mode. This provides consistent output even when your batteries are low. The battery sled is clean and also features spring-loaded connections. Furthermore, I experienced no rattle or battery door movement. It would’ve been a good idea though to have the battery orientations in white to make it easier to see.
The 0.96″ inch OLED display screen is simple to understand but a little hard to see in daylight. It can round-robin and also boasts a relatively quick fire time. The fire button extrudes on the sides and is indented in the middle. It feels comfy and responsive. Unfortunately, the two adjustment buttons have been placed too close together. This makes it hard to change the LED light and display color.
The cartridge on top can hold a massive 8ml of eliquid and is refillable. The coils press-fit into place but don’t feel very secure. I experienced leaking and this may have lead to the constant ‘new coil’ notification on my device. The 0.15ohm and 0.4ohm XP core coils performed superbly and lasted a decent length of time. The flavor was solid and I was able to produce lots of vapor. This device hits like a freight train and also handles chain vaping well.
The Artery Nugget GT is available to buy right now for $49.90 USD from Heaven Gifts. The 510 base adapter and RBA section are sold separately. Considering the 510 base adapter is retailing for just $7.90 USD, I think it should have been included with the kit. You can fit up to a 30mm atomizer on top and it looks super cool. Overall I think this is a good deal considering you’re getting a pod and mod for about $60 USD.
The Artery Nugget GT comes in a few simple colors that include black, blue, red, and also silver. They’re pretty standard and it would have been nice to see a bit more creative designs. The packaging is also basic but gets the job done. Inside you’ll find your Nugget GT device, cartridge, 2 x coils, 510 drip tip, USB-C charging cable, spare parts, and also a user manual.
