After solidly hammering the Dead Rabbit RTA 25mm by Hellvape x Heathen for a fortnight, the time has come to tell you all about it. The Dead Rabbit RTA is a 25mm diameter atty primarily made from stainless steel. It is available in six different colors including stainless steel, gold, black, rainbow, gunmetal and cobalt blue.
This dual top airflow device offers awesome resistance and excellent airflow. As with most top airflow devices its almost guaranteed not to leak. The top fill system is beveled inwards with two kidney slots for minimal mess using a knurled outer edged top ring for easy removal. The tank section is available with two capacity glass options, 2ml with the straight tube or 4.5ml with the bubble glass.
The deck section is very typical for most Dead Rabbit products like the Drop Dead RDA. It features four posts in a bunny ear style for easy coil placement and trimming. The bottom of the deck is also notched to allow easy alignment when putting it all together, ensuring the airflow is directed right onto your coils.
Wicking the Dead Rabbit RTA can take some practice as I’ve discovered. Using different methods I’ve found wicking the coils firmly and thinning out the tail ends of my cotton gives the best result. This is due to the height of your coils atop the tall posts making your build slightly stretched upwards inside the tank chamber.
Prices are ranging from $30 USD to $35 USD, both online and in-store. The savvy vaper would benefit from doing a bit of price comparison to get the best deal possible. Comparing the Dead Rabbit RTA with other similar RTA’s, in my opionion it is competitively priced.
I’d say this RTA is perfect for any vaper looking for a great quality device that is easy to build on. It is perfect for the flavor and cloud chasers. It’s can also be great for the sub-ohm tank users looking to progress into the rebuildable scene. This is one of the must have products of 2018.
The packaging is basic and minimal. Slightly more eye-catching than previous packages from Dead Rabbit. Inside you’ll find a delrin 810 drip tip, a 510 drip tip adapter, a baggy of grub screws and o-rings. You’ll also find your usual screwdriver, allen wrench key, bubble glass, some Dead Rabbit stickers and a thorough instruction booklet.
