The dotMod dotAIO 35W Pod System is a high end, USA designed device that’s versatile, intuitive, and highly customizable. It boasts a beautiful exterior that’s aesthetically pleasing and ultra-modern! But it’s not just another pretty face, the dotMod dotAIO also vapes like a dream. It delivers fantastic flavor and can produce ample cloudage. This pod system is also perfect for MTL or DTL vaping and features multiple power modes.
dotMod was founded in 2015 and is located in sunny San Diego, California. They’re a premium vape manufacturer that specializes in upmarket mods, mechs, and rebuildable atomizers. Most of their devices retail for at least $100 or more. Thankfully dotMod offer an exclusive limited lifetime warranty on their products. Keep reading to find out if the dotMod dotAIO 35W Pod System is really worth the high asking price.
The dotMod dotAIO 35W Pod System is a compact and portable device that measures 78mm’s by 42mm’s by 22.5mm’s. It takes a single 18650 external battery to power and can output up to 35 watts. This is more than enough to satisfy a wide range of vaping preferences. You can fine-tune your experience even further by switching between 4 different preset wattages or adjusting your threaded airflow ring.
The main chassis is made from high-quality zinc-alloy. As a result, the device feels strong and durable in hand. The oversized firing button is comfortable and very responsive. The side panels are removable and feature strong magnets. Inside is your battery bay, integrated pod cartridge, and subtle mode button. The airflow slot is in an awkward spot. When thumb firing, I constantly had to reposition because my thumb would cover it when firing.
The 2.7ml refillable cartridge sits flush between the spring-loaded connection and 510 drip tip. As a result, you shouldn’t experience any leaks or condensation. The coils are plug ‘n’ play and gold plated for added conductivity. The kit includes a 0.3ohm mesh DTL coil and 1.6ohm MTL ceramic coil. Alternatively, you can use your Aspire Nautilus coils with the included adaptor. The dotMod dotAIO also has dry burn protection installed.
If you prefer building your own coils, an optional RBA section can be purchased separately. Please be aware that the default resistance range of this device is between 0.28 and 2.5ohms. You also have the option to use your own 510 drip tip. I did this because I got a metallic-like taste from the gold plated one. You can even swap your panels out for different colors and patterns. The customizing options of the dotMod dotAIO are extensive.
The dotMod dotAIO 35W Pod System is currently retailing for $89.95 USD from VaporDNA. This was the cheapest price I could find online that still has them in stock. I think this is expensive in contrast to similar Chinese pods on the market. Unfortunately, you’re always going to pay more for a USA product. So if you can afford the high asking price, I would highly recommend purchasing one. It’s a sleek, simple, and exquisite device.
The dotMod dotAIO 35W Pod System is available in a handful of colors that include black, gold, blue, and also red. The packaging design is modern and aesthetically pleasing. Their minimalistic approach is similar to Apple and Nike. It’s very effective at translating luxury. Inside you’ll find your dotAIO device, cartridge, 2 x coils, Aspire Nautilus coil adapter, spares, USB-C charging cable, and also a user manual.
