The Famovape Bit Box 218W Premium Resin Variable Box Mod offers a copious amount of settings to play with. In total there are 5 control presets that you can change on a whim. This includes temperature control, bypass mode and DIY mode, to name a few. The surface of the mod is uniquely smooth due to the resin finish. I personally loved the resin body, it felt so good in hand. A small gripe would be towards the aluminum top and bottom plates. I wish these were made from zinc or stainless steel.
The 510 spring loaded connection is gold plated and can accommodate a 30mm tank quite easily without any overhang. Furthermore the mod itself weighs 133 grams without batteries and 222 grams with batteries. This translates to a super lightweight mod. The body is quite sturdy and well built, though could do with some polishing, for example hiding the 4 small screws on the head of the device.
The Famovape Bit Box comes in a variety of acid wash color variations including purple, blue and green. The trigger button has a nice click to it but unfortunately there is a small fire delay of 20 milliseconds. In contrast to other mid range mods, the GeekVape Aegis fires in 15 milliseconds and the VOOPOO TOO fires in under 10 milliseconds. The maximum wattage range the Bit Box can achieve is an impressive 218W of raw power.
The OLED screen is brightly lit and viewable at all angles. The face features a speedometer like gauge, individual battery level indicators, current active mode, resistance range and puff counter. The clock screen saver kicks in after a few seconds, then it dims to black. The internal navigation is very user friendly and operates similar to most modern mods on the market. The battery latch with vent holes is located on the bottom of the Bit Box device and is fairly easy to open. The batteries sit snug and there is no noticeable rattle as a result.
You can pick yourself up one of these bad boys for only $36.99 USD. Overall your getting a decent mod and I would happily recommend you consider purchasing.
I loved the packaging that the Bit Box mod came in. It has a matte black background with white illustrations to suite a bitcoin theme. The mod itself was neatly placed inside the packaging within a plastic sleeve. Under the cushion mold you can find your usual bits and bobs including a USB cable, a user manual and warranty card. The overall branding and style of Famovape is impressively good looking. It seems like they certainly put a bit of thought into the design, which I liked.
