The Hugo Vapor Rader ECO is a budget-friendly box mod, that’s both stylish and powerful. Utilizing dual 18650 batteries, the Rader ECO Box Mod can output a decent 200 watts with ease. It also comes in 10 different cool colors, with varied patterned designs like paint splatter, camo, and graffiti. Other fantastic mods created by Hugo Vapor include the Squeezer BF Squonker.
Hugo Vapor was founded in 2015 and are dedicated to manufacturing affordable products for vapers worldwide. They don’t try to re-invent the wheel, instead, they produce tried and tested devices that get the job done. Overall I’ve been pleasantly impressed with the Hugo Vapor Rader ECO’s performance and would happily recommend you check it out.
The Hugo Vapor Rader ECO 200W Box Mod measures 42mm’s by 40mm’s by 84mm’s. It can easily accommodate a 26mm atomizer with no overhang. The construction is made up of Zinc Alloy, ABS plastic, and stainless steel. This makes the mod lightweight, but also solid. It can sit in the palm of your hand comfortably and is rather ergonomic. The large button on the front face has a nice click to it and is easy to fire.
On the sides of the device are two very large battery vent cut outs. The design is a bit faded and rough around the edges. The battery door has little to no rattle and the slides are pretty clean. The gold plated battery contacts used are a bit old school, but easily replaceable. Be aware that you might catch your wraps on the edges, so be careful when inserting or removing your batteries.
The 0.96 inch OLED is vibrant and contains an intuitive menu. Various modes can be activated easily including VW, VV, bypass and curve heating. The maximum voltage output is 8.4 volts and the resistance range is between 0.06 to 3.0 ohms. The only con I can think of is the 1 watt increments. I would have much preferred 5 watt increments.
So what is the Hugo Vapor Rader ECO 200W Box Mod going to set you back? I found that most online vendors sold this device for around $34.99 USD. That is a steal in my books and well worth a purchase if you’re on a budget. Similar box mods like the Rader ECO will cost you at least $60 USD.
I really liked the clean packaging design that Hugo Vapor have gone with. The plain black and white background works so well with the simple line drawing of the mod. Inside the box, you’ll find your mod, USB charging cable, user manual, warranty card, and battery safety card. I always recommend you charge your batteries externally.
