The Joyetech eGrip Mini 13W Pod System is an ultra-thin beginner device that features a unique side-mounted atomizer and super fast Type-C connection. For its size, the battery lasts a long time and it only takes 30 minutes to recharge. The high gloss color options are quite beautiful and the overall aesthetic is nice. It feels great in hand and can also slip easily into any sized pocket or bag.
The only thing that lets the Joyetech eGrip Mini 13W Pod System down are the coils. I experienced muted and burnt flavor from both heads. Similar reports have been made about the EXCEED GRIP AIO Pod that Joyetech released mid-2019. This pod system had so much potential but inevitably failed to get the most basic function right. Keep reading for a truly honest review on the Joyetech eGrip Mini 13W Pod System.
The Joyetech eGrip Mini 13W Pod System is a super compact and relatively durable device. It measures in at just 71mm’s by 39mm’s by 10mm’s and weighs 43.6 grams in total. I could barely feel it in my pocket while out and about. The mouthpiece felt comfortable on my lips and it let in a decent amount of air. To fire the device, you just have to breathe in. No need to fumble around with settings or buttons.
The main chassis contains a 420mAh internally battery. I could easily get a few days out of it before having to recharge. It can output a respectable 13 watts of power when fully charged. On the base of the pod is an intelligent LED light that will indicate how much battery you have left. Green 100%-60%, blue 59%-30%, and red 29%-0%. This will display while the device is activated and a short while after.
The most interesting part about the Joyetech eGrip Mini 13W Pod System is the side-mounted cartridge. It feels much more convenient than standard top-mounted cartridges. Two different coil options are available with the eGrip Mini 13W Pod Kit. This includes a 0.5ohm mesh coil for DL vaping and also a 1.2ohm KTR for MTL vaping. To be honest, I could barely notice any difference between them and both produced terrible flavor.
The cartridges are relatively easy to fill, just unplug the silicone stopper and squeeze in your eliquid. Unfortunately, they can only hold 1.3ml of ejuice and I found myself repeatedly topping them up. As with most regulated vapes, the eGrip Mini comes with multiple safety features like over-charging protection, 10-second timeout, short circuit protection, and also over-discharge.
The Joyetech eGrip Mini 13W Pod System is currently available for pre-order from Vapesourcing. You can expect to pay just $17.99 USD. Even with the super low asking price, I wouldn’t recommend this device. Instead, you’re much better off picking yourself up a VOOPOO NAVI 40W Mod Pod. It’s a quality product, that delivers fantastic flavor and also clouds. It’s perfect for MTL and DL vapers. If your new to vaping, make sure to check it out!
The Joyetech eGrip Mini 13W Pod System comes in a variety of colors that include black, purple, white, coral red, and also aurora. The packaging is a simple slip box. Inside you’ll find your eGrip MINI battery, 2 x coils, 2 x drip tips, Type-C charging cable, lanyard, and also a manual. The lanyard design is a bit dated and doesn’t contain a charging cable like other manufacturers such as Smoant have done.
