The Lost Vape Quest Orion Q 17W Pod is the follow-up device to the hugely successful Lost Vape Orion DNA 40W Pod. It features a new chipset, pod system, and slight design change. This device is perfect for new vapers because it’s so easy to set up and use. There are no menus or settings to fumble around with, just fill up your pod, click it in and vape away.
In 2014 Lost Vape established themselves in partnership with Evolv. They are the creative minds behind the widely popular and powerful DNA chipset that many devices on the market utilize. The Lost Vape Quest Orion Q still maintains its excellent craftsmanship and performance, but uses a proprietary chip of its own. As a result, it’s remarkably cheaper than its predecessor
The Lost Vape Quest Orion Q 17W Pod System is a relatively small device, measuring 93mm’s by 37mm’s by 13.5mm’s. It fits comfortably in your hand and is rather stealthy. It weighs next to nothing and the frame is made from strong stainless steel. The Quest Orion Q can output a constant 17 watts, no matter your battery level. It also fires quickly and is very responsive.
The 950 mAH internal battery provided me with a few days worth of vaping before having to recharge. This is easily done via a Micro USB cable. The amount of battery left will be indicated to you by a colored LED light near the base of the pod. Blue means 100%, purple is 64% and red is 17%.
You can dial in your pod to either be a loose MTL or tight DTL. This is made possible by the dual adjustable airflow. The new pods now deliver 1.0 ohms instead of the previous 0.5 ohms. The pod itself is made from a food grade PC material. It can hold 2mls of eliquid and can last you up to 1 week. I found the flavor to be ok, not the best. This could be due to the Kanthal coils.
You can pick up your own Lost Vape Quest Orion Q 17W Pod System for $27.99 USD or $46.13 AUD. I think this is great value for money. I’m glad Lost Vape has provided a simple pod system with budget vapers in mind. If your willing to spend a bit more money, then its also worth checking out the Lost Vape Orion DNA 40W Pod. I got a much better flavor from it.
The packaging design wasn’t that crash hot if I’m being honest. The dull color scheme, uninspiring artwork, and dated layout made the product feel less lux. But its what is inside that counts. The pod itself looks cool and comes in a variety of frame colors that include stainless, black, blue and gold. The panels feature a nice black weave pattern.
Inside the box, you will find your Lost Vape Orion Q, micro USB cable and manual. I would recommend buying some spare pods at the same time to save on shipping, as the kit only includes the frame.
