The Pyro V2 is a 24mm, bottom feed RDTA manufactured by Vandy Vape in China. It can hold a maximum of 4ml’s of eliquid. This amount can be topped up when using the preinstalled squonk pin. Made from mostly stainless steel the Pyro V2 comes in a variety of colors including black, SS, gold, rainbow and blue. I personally like the black outer casing, but the frosted yellow accents are so ugly and make it look dirty.
Vandy Vape have gone with a postless deck design for the Pyro V2. Under the hood is four terminals for you to screw your single or dual coils into. The deck was fairly easy to build on. I did have a bit of trouble getting good contact with one of the gold plated screws. But that could be written off as user error.
On either side of your deck is two decently sized wick holes that feeds your cotton into the ejuice tank below for soaking. Even though in theory this should work, I found the flavor to be a bit lackluster at times. I ended up dripping as if it were an RDA to give my ejuice a bit of justice. Of course this is just my opinion and you may prefer flavor from a tank.
The Pyro V2 is fairly tall coming in at 44mm’s in height. I’ve tried it on a few of my mods but it just looks out of place and very top heavy. The dual airflow slots are located just under your 810 drip tip and provides a surprisingly smooth vape. If you look under the cap you will find 12 smaller sized holes that provide the airflow to each side.
The Vandy Vape Pyro V2 BF RDTA is going to set you back around $32.95 USD or $43.49 AUD. I think this is a tad expensive, considering it is old technology and you can find better performing products at a cheaper price. I would recommend this device to sub-ohm tank users looking to try out rebuildables. Definitely not a product for anyone currently using an RDA as the flavor is nowhere near as good.
Another visual gripe I had was that the packaging didn’t match the RDTA styling at all. The logo for the Pyro V2 was written in blue on a blue background which made it near impossible to read. On the back of your box you will find a list of contents and a few warnings.
Inside your package you will find your RDTA, spare Delrin drip tip, spare glass, coil lead guide and accessory bag. I did appreciate the coil lead guide which essentially tells you were to cut your coils legs. They also included two clapton coils and even some cotton.
