The Vaporesso XROS 16W Pod System is a brand new AIO style beginner vape that boasts an innovative adjustable airflow slider. It’s also super easy to use, flavor focused, and aesthetically pleasing. The XROS Pod is Vaporesso’s latest addition to its vast catalog of vaping products released in 2020. Considering the sheer number of pod systems already on the market, is the XROS Pod actually worth checking out? Keep reading to find out.
Vaporesso is a well-known vape manufacturer that’s been collectively around for over 13 years. Their focus on research and development has helped position Vaporesso as an innovative leader within the vaping industry. They boast a huge range of beginner devices that include the GEN S and also TARGET PM80. I cannot wait to see what they come up with next!
The Vaporesso XROS Pod is a slimline and also highly pocketable vape. It measures 112mm’s by 13mm’s by 23mm’s and weighs next to nothing. The main chassis is made from durable SUS304 stainless steel. It can output a modest 11 to 20 watts and is also powered by a 800 mAh rechargeable battery. The voltage output is consistent and it boasts USB-C quick charging. I was able to get a full charge from flat in just 45 minutes!
The Vaporesso XROS Pod features a handy tri-color LED that will indicate how much charge you have left. Just above that is a responsive fire button that extrudes slightly. On top is your 2ml eliquid capacity cartridge. Unfortunately, it’s a closed system which means you can’t remove the coil. I think this is a tad wasteful. The flavor was good and it produced subtle clouds.
The Vaporesso XROS Pod coils are relatively small but house massive juice inlets. I had no problem with wicking, even when using high VG ratio ejuice. The coils come in two different resistances. This includes a 1.2ohm and also a 0.8ohm. To fill your cartridge, just remove the mouthpiece which exposes a valve style opening. It’s so easy to do and also mess-free. The addition of a visible viewing window makes filling just that much easier.
The Vaporesso XROS Pod boasts a dual firing mechanism. This includes button fire and also draw activation. I liked having the option to do either. The standout feature of this device has to be the clever airflow adjustment. A discreet slider on the back allows you to open or close off the airflow depending on your preferred pull. Be that an MTL or restricted DTL. Furthermore, this is something you don’t see very often in pod systems.
The Vaporesso XROS Pod is available to buy right now. The best price I could find was $24.99 USD from VaporDNA. In all honesty, I think that’s a bit pricey considering its power output and cartridge type. But being a Vaporesso product, the overall build is great and it definitely could be a viable option for people seeking an AIO style vape with adjustable airflow.
The Vaporesso XROS Pod comes in six different modern colors. This includes silver, grey, blue, sky blue, rose pink, and also rainbow. All colors have a really nice metallic finish and the ombre varieties are so beautiful. The packaging design is a little more luxe than Vaporesso usually does. It looks professional and high end. Inside you’ll find your XROS device, 2 x cartridges, USB-C charging cable, and also a user manual.
