Wotofo has brought something new and exiting to the table in the form of the Profile Mesh RDA, designed in conjunction with Mrjustright1. Wotofo was founded in 2012 and are based in China. This particular company have a vast amount of good quality products on the vaping market including box mods, atomizers, accessories and even apparel!
After a few weeks of testing the Wotofo Profile Mesh RDA, I feel I’m ready to tell you my thoughts and honest opinions on this device. The Wotofo Profile is a 24mm rebuildable drip atomizer made from stainless steel. It features a 810 drip tip and a protruding gold platted 510 connection. Inside you will find a post less spring loaded ceramic build deck with clamp style contacts.
While you can use a standard wire coil in this build, it was designed with mesh in mind. The 2 x mesh strips included are made from Kanthal A1 and can provide a resistance of around 0.18 ohm’s. The recommended wattage range is 40-60 watts. I found the mesh strips to be very delicate and actually snapped one in half during the build. I recommend being careful when installing.
On the sides of your Wotofo Profile Mesh RDA will be two honeycomb airflow slots. Depending on the color of your RDA it can be hard to see how much airflow you have closed off because the tab is of the same color. Overall though this wont really matter as most people will want to run this RDA with the airflow totally open to maximize flavor.
This RDA does produce some fantastic flavor, it was almost as if I were drinking the ejuice. The vape is smooth and outputs some decent vapor clouds. A squonking pin comes pre-installed in your RDA and works a treat. Depending how good you are at wicking, the ejuice that is being squonked should squirt out just under the middle of your mesh strip, soaking the cotton beautifully.
You can pick this flavor chasing RDA up for around $29.99 USD. It is available in a wide variety of colors including stainless steel, black, gunmetal, blue or rainbow.
Wotofo have gone with their stock standard packaging design that is a mixture of fluro green and black. On the front you will see the Profile logo that matches the one on your RDA, which I was quite fond of. On the side though you will see an ugly Profile logo written in a 1960’s hippie font. Turn the box over and it will tell you whats inside the kit plus your usual warnings and t&c’s.
Inside you will find your Profile RDA and spare 810 drip tip sitting inside a foam casting. Below that is the user manual, a big wad of cotton, mesh bending tool, 1 x clapton coil, 2pcs mesh strip coils and bag of o-rings/screws.
Now even though I do appreciate all the extras they included. I would have loved to see some extra cotton included. Perhaps even a different style of cotton, because after your down cutting it all down, there is a heap of wastage.
